The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it(5).

—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 2013. (3) They apply in relation to a particular case on any day on which section 33(1)(a) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (abolition of income-based jobseeker’s allowance) is in force and applies in relation to that case.

From 1 April 2017 we have changed our scheme so that we now deal with changes in circumstances in the same way that we deal with changes in the national Housing Benefit scheme.

It is therefore very important that you report any changes in your circumstances to us within one month of the change.

When you get your bill call us on (0113) 222 4404 with your bank account details and we will do the rest. Once the Direct Debit is set up, each month on the due dates we will ask your bank for payment direct from your bank account.

This meant that support was paid at 81% of what was previously allowed under the Council Tax Benefit Scheme.

In 2014 - 2015 the reduction was 26%, which meant that support is paid at 74% of what was allowed under the Council Tax Benefit Scheme.
